1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Nature of the Service

The App enables users to upload images of food items and receive automated recipe suggestions generated by software algorithms. The App is provided for general informational and entertainment purposes only and does not provide professional cooking instruction, food hygiene guidance, safety advice, medical advice, nutritional advice, or dietary guidance of any kind.

The App does not assess whether any ingredient is within its use-by or best-before date, safe for consumption, or correctly stored. By agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge that it is your sole responsibility to ensure that any ingredient you use is fit for consumption, within date, and safe to eat. The Company accepts no liability for illness, injury, or harm arising from the use of ingredients that are expired, spoiled, or otherwise unfit for consumption.

3. Food Safety, Kitchen Use & Personal Injury Disclaimer

The App does not and cannot assess the safety, freshness, suitability, or fitness for consumption of any ingredient. The Company does not verify whether ingredients are in date, safe to consume, correctly stored, free from contamination, or suitable for a particular recipe or cooking method.

By using the App, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for inspecting, handling, storing, preparing, and cooking all food safely and hygienically. You assume all risks associated with cooking, including but not limited to cuts, burns, scalds, fires, food poisoning, allergic reactions, or other injuries.

The Company shall not be responsible or liable for any injury, loss, damage, illness, fire, or accident arising from improper food preparation, unsafe practices, expired or contaminated ingredients, or reliance on App outputs.

4. Wild, Foraged & Self-Identified Ingredients

The App may accept ingredient names referring to wild plants, mushrooms, foraged food, garden-grown produce, or other self-identified items. The Company makes no judgement and provides no verification regarding the identification, edibility, ripeness, toxicity, or safety of any such ingredient.

Misidentification of wild plants and fungi can cause serious illness or death. You are solely responsible for correctly identifying and verifying the safety and edibility of any wild, foraged, or self-identified ingredient before preparation or consumption.

The Company accepts no liability for illness, injury, death, or any other harm arising from the use of misidentified or unsafe foraged ingredients.

5. Allergy & Dietary Disclaimer

The App includes allergen preference settings that allow you to indicate known allergies or intolerances, which we use to help filter recipe suggestions. However, AI-generated ingredient recognition and recipe suggestions may be inaccurate, incomplete, or may not capture all allergen risks or cross-contamination possibilities.

You remain solely responsible for checking all ingredient labels, allergen warnings, and cross-contamination risks before preparing or consuming any food. The Company accepts no liability for allergic reactions, illness, injury, or death arising from reliance on App outputs, including where allergen preferences have been set.

6. Assumption of Risk & No Reliance

You acknowledge that any reliance on the App and its outputs is entirely at your own risk. The App may produce errors, omissions, incorrect ingredient identification, unsafe suggestions, or impractical cooking methods. You agree not to treat any output as definitive or safe without independent verification.

13. Subscription Plans, Billing & Cancellation

Foozy offers the following subscription plans. All plans automatically renew on a monthly basis unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Billing: Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. On mobile, payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to the applicable platform's billing terms. On web, payments are processed via Stripe. All prices shown are inclusive of applicable taxes where required.

Session limits reset monthly on the same calendar date as your subscription renewal. Unused sessions do not carry over to the following month.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings, Google Play account, or Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to your plan's features until that date. We do not offer partial-month refunds.

Refunds: Refund requests for mobile in-app purchases must be submitted directly to Apple or Google through their respective platforms, as Foozy does not control or process those payments. Web subscription refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis — please contact us at support@foozy.co.uk.

14. Intellectual Property

All rights in the App, including software, branding, algorithms, and content generated by the App, are owned by or licensed to the Company. Users may not copy, extract, scrape, resell, or commercially exploit any part of the App without prior written permission.

15. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law. Subject to this, the Company shall not be liable for any personal injury, illness, property damage, or loss arising from use of the App.
